MAKRO are proposing to develop a new store to be located next to the Merrow Downs Centre on Witkoppen Rd, opposite the old Halfway Toyota building.
It will be a site the same as any other MAKRO around Johannesburg, i.e. large, with massive traffic volumes, a liquor store, large taxi presence and increased informal spaza store vendors, attracting a large number of vagrants and loiterers.
Your opinion on whether this is desired, needed, or should be allowed to continue is extremely important to the future of our area.
