ACCIDENT ON LONEHILL BOULEVARD
27.05.2009 - 16:38

The pictures below show a shocking event, but fortunately, one that ended without any serious human injury.

The driver of the vehicle, Kevin Foot, was driving past Leeuwkop and started to feel the onset symptoms of a heart attack.  He immediately tried to get back to the Lonehill Fire Station but unfortunately lost consciousness just a few hundred meters short of safety and lost control of his vehicle.  He managed to swerve to the left before blacking out to avoid crashing into an oncoming vehicle, which was being driven by a 7 month pregant driver, hit the curb and flipped over.

He was taken to Fourways Life Hospital and later released.

There is a serious warning and message here, in Kevin's own words..."If you think that an annual check up and ECG stress test with your GP and taking anti-cholestrol mooty is bakgat, you are serious mistaken.  See your cardiologist for a proper work up of vascular condition - it's a whole lot cheaper than the bypass op and wrecking your car!"

Wishing you a speedy recovery Kevin.
